Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods

Hi, my Miele W 404 Plus is not heating up. I assumed it was the element but took off the front to check and found that one of the wires to the element had burnt off. I cleaned up the connection on the element as best as I could, cut back the sizzled wire and reconnected using a new connector. It worked fine for 2 or 3 days then burnt off again.
The main programme that we use can take up to twice as long as normal but I assume this is because of the burnt connection rather than the cause of it. The temp sensor (thermistor?) comes out easy enough but I'm not sure of the best way to test it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely the connector is not the correct one or a poor fit, where there is bad contact you usually get a high current & thus overheating & burning.

Hi, I think the wire connection was ok but it may be that the element connector wasn't clean enough. I'll give it another go.
Thanks for the swift reply.

Hi, just to let you know, I've re-done the connection, paying particular attention to cleaning the element connector and 2 weeks on, it's still working fine.
Thanks for the advice.
