Door Lock - Whirlpool AMZ 410

Postby Ox105 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 11:55 am

Hi,

My phone released he had left his phone in the clothes in the washer and in his desperation to get it out pulled off the door before the machine released it.

I had a look at the guide on repairing door locks but I have a slightly different problem.

As you can see in the pics the locking part from the door has been left in the machine (sorry I don't know the technical terms a bit better!)

If I open the two screws in the machine itself beside the lock and extract the broken piece can I just slot that back into the door? Or do I need a replacement?

Thanks for any help!

You have broken the door lock striker. Therefore in order to fix it you will need to buy a complete new Door Handle Assembly (part no : 481949878432).

Email spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk in order to get one sorted ASAP. :D

From most suppliers across the land inevitably that part would need to be ordered specially for you. I think they are stored in a cave deep in the Borneo jungle or some such place.
