AEG FAVORIT 88010VI Dishwasher "Service code i60"

Postby TheTed » Fri May 04, 2012 10:27 am

Hi, I have read elsewhere in the forum that an i60 error is most likely to be a Safety thermostat or NTC sensor error. My Dishwasher completes its cycle, it has the audible alarm and the red light that shines on the floor is flashing. Can you advise if this is more likely to be the NTC or the thermostat that is faulty. Also can you advise how I access them once I pull the machine out (integrated unit). Thank you and regards, Mark.

Doesn't your dishwasher talk to you & tell you whats wrong? :D

Check heating element & t'stats, but could be fault with P.C.B, relay or connections to it. When appliance is pulled out, you can take off front panel at bottom, tip appliance up & base should come off (plastic clips) to allow access to components. Sides come off too. Heater is cylindrical flow though type with built in cut-outs. N.T.C is push in & 1/4 turn to release, little plastic clip holding it in place.

Thank you for the prompt response and yes the Dishwasher did talk to me when I looked at the PCB with a blown capacitor and that was not all that was fried, the dishwasher had develeped a small leak. It said get rid of me now as I will become a money pit. I thought AEG was meant to be a cut above the rest! I had a hotpoint for 9 years and not so much as a hiccup, I only got rid of it because it was not integrated. This AEG is 3.5 years old cost over £500 and is scrap. Glad I got that offs chest. As I am now in the market for a dishwasher (my kids are moaning as they do not believe they are a replacement) what model would you recommend and can I kindly ask your thoughts on what you think about a hotpoint HFT228a? You advice wil bee graciously received.

Hotpoint was taken over by Indesit around 10 years ago, now very much low end quality machines. Bosch not bad for mid range, Miele or ISE for top quality.

Thanks guys a Bosch it is, I already have junk in a tin box so will never be buying AEG again. By the way is the AEG a Zanussi with a different badge, the similarities seem uncanny?
