Bosch dishwasher, what triggers "check water"light?

Postby MrBaxter » Mon May 07, 2012 3:09 pm

How do.
I have a problem with my dishwasher.
It used to fail at about 27 minutes remaining and get stuck in a never ending cycle of filling and emptying.
It's worked fine for 3 or so years.
We moved house and it stood idle for 1 year while we ripped out and redid the kitchen.
Put it back in and it worked for a while.
Then, and we don't know if it's related or not but 'ar lass put some salt in.
After that that's when the problems started.
Before, it would start going through a cycle, then at about 27 minutes left the check water light would come on, then it woul start the drain/refill cycle, and it just then carries on draining and refilling, the clock will not out down to zero.
I'm a ham fisted mechanic by trade, so I pulled it out and isolated it and pulled the top and sides off.
I removed some grit from the water inlet filters.
I also took out a rubber washer from the filter basket.
Put it back together and it worked for a few weeks but now it's died again.
Now though, it won't start the cycle it just drains and refills.
Any ideas?
