Hygena Turbo oven glass

Postby Dan Rogers » Wed Jan 12, 2005 7:12 pm

Hi,

We managed to shatter our oven door glass during a houseparty last year and have had no luck finding a replacement, mostly becasue we haven't got a model number. It was either on the glass (which is now in a thousand bits) or has rubbed off the front. The landlord claims not to have the manual (and we certainly don't), it's also not on the inside as far as we can tell.

It is labelled 'Turbo by Hygena' and is a standard-looking four hob, oven and grill combined, electric unit. The glass looks like it should have dimensions approx 59cm*46cm (W*H) and covers the whole front of the oven, with the handle attached through the glass.

Can anyone advise as to a replacement? If any further measurements or identifying marks are required, let me know!

Thanks,

Dan.

Dan,

Without a model numer it's going to be nigh on impossible to replace, but if you can get some photos sent then we may be able to identify it for you. ;)

Hi, sorry for the delay,

I've uploaded three photos of our admittedly very dirty cooker to my webspace:

http://www.dnr.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/cooker/cooker2.JPG

Hope this helps in identifying it!

If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask,

Thanks very much,

Dan.

Dan,
Ignore the hob, it is a separate item. If you check around the door opening, you should find four screws. When removed, the oven can be slipped forward and the other rating label will be revealed - on most of them it's on the top of the oven box but on a few it's on the back. You're looking fora number starting "ADP----" or perhaps "APM----". I'm afraid that without it you have virtually no chance of resolving this.

Regards,
Pengiun45.
Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Hi,

I took the oven out as you suggested and found a rather dusty label:

Hygena

Serial No: 02237356 [Model 2]
Model: AHY3220 [White Mod2]

2.05kW 220-240V ~50Hz

No ADP or APM but an AHY. Is it possible to get a replacement front glass panel (not the inside glass, the exterior sheet)?

Thanks very much, I would never have tried looking there!

Hi Dan,
We can pick it up from that information no problem at all. Get back to you in the morning hopefully with more information. Or, even better, if you drop an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk Dave will answer it for sure in the morning.

Hi,

I have managed to do pretty much the same thing to my hygena oven except I have managed to break both the inner and outer glass.

My oven looks the same as the one in the pictures, in colour and lack of oven door, expect it only has the dial on the left.

I have a manual (which covers a range of cookers) and i'm guessing from that i have a AHY3120 does that sound right ?

cheers,

neil

That is a good model number but I would be best to make sure before you ordered anything, details for this model are:

Inner door glass £36.30
Outer door glass £55.39
Postage £7.95

All inc VAT. If that is your model and you need to order, an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk please :D

The metal parts glued to the outer glass will come already glued in place, no gloop required :D
