No the pump should be fine, no problems with the rubber valve at all. Sounds as though your system is working just fine then
BUT I guess you are still getting Error Code E15 after all this then are you?

I am still getting the E15 error code, do you have any other ideas as to what might be the cause? I don't want to keep making unnecessary purchases if I can avoid it.

To be honest no!
For what it costs I would recommend calling out a local engineer to take a look inside. Various components need checking out overall and it's best left to the experts to be honest.
You have tried your best but go the next step and save yourself the frustration eh?

OK took your advise and got an engineer in. Although he was very helpful he was still not able to get the machine working and suggested that the fault may be due to a defect or fault on the Power Module. As this is also a relatively expensive part to purchase for the machine, I wanted to ask your expert advise on the matter before I proceed.
Can the fault I am experiencing be due to this board being faulty? (Martin, I would have had you come and look at the machine, but you don't cover my area, unfortunately).

Martin, thanks for the e.mail pointing me in the direction of the heating element. Strange how this can cause the fault I was experiencing, just relieved that it is all sorted now. Top Site!!!

After you e-mailed me it occured to me that it could be the element. These all electronic controlled machines these days can throw up all sorts of nonsensical, illogical error codes that send us all 'barking up the wrong tree'

Martin, could you tell me - how could a faulty heating element cause these symptoms?
i have a Hotpoint Microprofile 1200 that throws up error code 14 and hangs after it has done a wash cycle and emptied. the pump sounds like it's still going and the drum looks empty. i have cleared the pipes and checked the pump bowl is clear. i have not checked the rate of emptying nor changed the pump. however it works fine on 'quick wash' and a full 40deg C wash but not on the full 50degC or 60degC wash cycles. it also works fine on just 'rinse and spin'. so maybe it is the heater or thermostat. or it could still be the programmer, but that seems unlikely now.
is the thermostat seperate from the heating element?
what is error code 14 as a matter of interest?

It means a heater error so you're on the right track
The heat sensor is part of it as well, if you need to order, it's right here in the shop:
