LG microwave light-bulb replacement?

Postby Guest » Sun Jul 31, 2005 11:08 am

Model: MC-806 BL
Serial no: 109NE 10202

Please can somebody tell me how to replace the light-bulb on this model of microwave? I'm nowhere near a service agent so any help would be very much appreciated.

I would recommend that you post a request on the Repairs@Whitegoods module. You are quite likely to find a company that will help you.

I would urge great caution when working on Microwave Ovens. There are components inside that store energy for a long period of time (when switched-off) :eeek:

Also, if you start opening the oven covers, you will need a means of measuring microwave oven leakage.

Unless you have the know-how and equipment, please contact an apporopriately qualified individual through the Repairs@ module.

Good luck

Thanks, but as we really are a long way from anything it looks like we'll be cooking in the dark for a bit. I can't even see where the light-bulb is and won't be attempting anything too heroic.

I'm afraid that on these microwaves, 9 times out of ten you have to remove the outer cover to gain access to the lamp.Unfortunately this is not replaceable by the customer, and should be replaced by an engineer.
Sorry.
