Cooker And Oven Forum

Hi All, I Have a Creda Xpression X 152e Cooker which has developed a fault recently and I wondered if any one could help with diagnosis before I start forking out for parts.
The Top Oven (Grill) and the right hand side rapid heat hotplate are getting hot (too hot to touch) but not hot enough to cook food with. I suspect that there may be a thormostat problem, but I'm no expert. My son-in-law is a competant and qualified electrician, so any works that need doing can be safely carried out with the cooker disconnected, and he is capable of testing componants (although I am capable of testing comonants as I have an engineering background). I would be grateful of any help you can offer.

Two unrelated problems I think.

I would be looking at the grill regulator and either the hotplate selector switch and/or the hotplate itself as both are prone to failure.

Many thanks for the prompt reply, I Assume that the regulator and selector are basically the On Off controls on the front of the cooker?
