Hotpoint Washer Dryer - Noisy

Postby bornlivelife » Mon Jun 26, 2006 1:44 pm

We have a machine about 4 years old. It works perfectly beautiful wash and dry, except very noisy.

When machine program is started, there is delay of a few seconds then the noise starts and its very loud growling noise

Is it the pump becasue I think the drums not turning at this point.

It never used to do this!

It sounds like it or there's something in the pump rattling around. Which model number is it to identify the correct one ?

Power off if looking inside please :zap:

There are two pumps on this model, the drain pump is here in our shop@

http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p ... cts_id=394

The circualtion pump is a bit more at £40 odd. You'll need to check which one has failed and it may be the latter as that one runs almost continuously when there is water in the drum.

An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk please if the recirculation pump is required :)

We are only assuming that it is one of the pumps of course ;)
