Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods

Neither the oven element nor the grill heat up and the oven fan doesn't come on either. It stopped suddenly rather than being intermittent. The light inside the oven works as do the timer and lights above the control knobs.
Anything I should be focussing on? I'm assuming it will be something like a blown fuse or faulty switch mechanism.
Thanks.

Is the clock set to manual (hand symbol) rather than auto?

I guess that's the "make sure they've not got the timer on" question.
There is no hand symbol on the display or mentioned in the manual.
I have gone through the "turn off the timer" procedure, set the time/duration to 00:00, but that made no difference.

How did you guess

but you would be suprised how many calls we goto that have the clock set to "auto" or not set at all. You have set the clock havent you, I know you mentioned duration 00.00.
If all that is done I would suggest an engineer from the link below.

I've done IT support in the past and know how frequently things like that can come up. Not plugging things in at the wall was always a good one.

Yes. The clock's set. I even got it to run through a start/stop cycle on the timer and that all worked - apart from the heating up bit.

If all that is done I would suggest an engineer from the link below.
Greg
OK Thanks for the help.

Here's a clue (above) to the fault
The 'Temperature Limiter' has shut off (thermal fuse) for some reason?
Check link below for a local engineer to look into it for you
