Morphy Richards pet cyclone fan motor

Postby Macca61 » Sun Nov 08, 2009 8:04 am

Hi
i have dismantled my cleaner and it appears the filter was not on correctly it has drawn all the dust through the motor, my problem is how do i dismantle the motor fan assembly to clean it , it looks to me as the the fan cover possibly twists off but i dont want to force it, does anyone know ?

Thanks
Gordon

Just to let you know, i removed the motor and managed to tap the cover off with a small hammer, this exposed the fan which was full of crap, i unscrewed the centre nut (13mm socket) and removed the fan and 2 screws underneath removed the air guide. This was all cleaned thoroughly with soapy water and re-assembled, be sure when you tap the fan cover back on that it doesnt go too far and foul on the fan.

Now works perfectly :D :D
