Ariston 1636S Washing Machine - Drum not filling with water

Postby rachele » Fri May 25, 2007 10:23 pm

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone can help. Having problems with the drum of the machine not filling with water. When you set it off it is fine for 20 seconds while the water enters the machine from the soap dispenser end. However, when it comes to the machine filling from the drum 2 lights on the front of the machine start flashing plus the light next to the on/off button.

The lights are flashing by the easy iron and rapid buttons if this makes any difference?

I have managed to get it working once or twice on the Rapid setting but now it has packed in totally. It used to get through the pre-wash then edhalf way through the wash (i.e when the drum needed re-filling).

Once it has stopped the only way we can end the programme is to switch it off at the mains and then either start from the beginning or forward to the spin cycle.

Does anyone know what the problem might be or have any advice?

Thanks in advance,

Rachele

Neons 3+4 flasing indicate an NTC (temperature controller) fault. Could be the NTC itself, I have changed a few recently, or loose/broken wiring, faulty main PCB etc.
