Hoover WA110 Performa 1100

Postby majorpdd » Fri Sep 08, 2006 7:19 pm

Hello,

I hope that someone could help me here.

Thanks in advance.

2 problems

1) It seems my hinge has gone on the door which is causing it to leak slightly around the door.

I have look at the hinge and it has snapped on 1 connection.

The hinge is attached by rivits, if i get a new one shall i get new rivits to attach it, if so which ones.

2) We seem to be getting a strange noise only when drying cothes, so noisey that we cannot go on with it. Maybe the fan or something?

Like a grinding Noise.

Anyway like i said thanks in advance

Door hinge - p/no 97910194 - you can get it here:
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p ... cts_id=109
I believe it is supplied with the rivets.

Fan motor is a good bet for noises - pump, motor etc would be in evidence during the wash as well as the dry programme. P/no is 04350196. It's not in the Shop@ facility, so an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for pricing and ordering.

Power off, if you proceed with this yourself.

Regards,
Penguin45.
Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Thanks for your speedy reply.

Washing seems to be perfect, only when drying?

Would the fan make the thurmostate trip because i have already puched the switch once. then this noise happened.

Thanks Again

Yes, if it's not running correctly or fast enough it will cause the heater ducting to overheat :)

ok, so could it be.... or could you confirm that IT IS the fan on the dryer ???

This makes no noise at all when washing only when drying.

Although i just tried the dryer since i havent used it it for a while and it was ok for a minute or 2, then it just starting making a rubbing grinding noise, then stopped then started again.

Horrible

Where could i get the part from??

Kind Regards

Please don't take this the wrong way but how can anyone remotely confirm what is wrong without inspecting the appliance ;)

The fan motor as a guide is about £45 inc VAT etc which I can order for you but I would ensure that is the problem beforehand ;)
