Indesit we16 fault code F03

Postby Flight Boss » Fri Oct 22, 2004 7:27 pm

Can anyone tell me what the fault code F03 indicates. The machine is pumping out and filling at the same time and the drum is not moving. Is there and easy fix for a competant DIY'er? I'd be grateful for any advice.

I think you will find its related to the wash heater themistor. This is built into the heater and pretty much impossible to test without replacing it but you could check the wires leading to it. The code is only a guide though and does not nessesarily mean that this is the problem. Remember to isolate the machine from the mains before removing any panel or the lid.

Top Man!
Well done Eastiman. You were absolutely right with your diagnosis.Stripped the machine down to find a red wire broken away from it's lucar connector at the heater. Five minutes with some wire strippers and a new connector and the machine is 'right as rain. I talked up my part to 'her indoors' and she thinks I'm a very clever chappie'. Might even get 'afters following dinner tonight.
Good one my son. Thanks for the tip'
