Yup, detergent overfoaming is the No.1 cause of this sort of behaviour and, it doesn't just affect ISE.
More here. It is more of an issue in soft water areas over hard, but it can still happen under most any conditions.

Maintenance washes are important but not as critical on the 10. The reason is that it's a lot less susceptible to the usual plethora of problems because it has a stainless outer tank, which most don't theses days, they're mostly plastic. It will however get rid of any residues that happen to be lingering. To prove if there is or isn't overdosing going on you can runs a simple test, put the machine on with no load and no detergent and, if you see suds, someone's been using too much.
