Zanussi WJS 1265W washer dryer, holes in tank

Postby Debs2460 » Tue Jun 03, 2008 9:52 am

Hi, when using my washer dryer to dry there was a burning smell, the machine was noisy, then error E20 came up. We took the back off and saw water coming from the breather pipe. We cleaned out the drainage pipes and found loads of silty gunk in the water filter/pump area. Put it back together thinking we'd done a good job, when we put wash prog on water spewed out of 2 holes melted in the tank! Is it worth repairing, are tanks expensive? The machine is 7 yrs old, but really can't afford a new one, it's been a good machine.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Debbie :(

It's the back half of the tub, underneath, on the left hand side as you look at it from the back (around 7 o'clock ish).

Sorry I don't understand what pNc number is?? It's a Zanussi WJS 1265W, where do I find pNc?
Thank you.

Yup :D

1242812-81/4 - tub rear half.
1240159-03/6 - tub half seal.

An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you a price.

The real problem with this is the amount of work involved. The casing has to be split and the tub removed. As a pro, I'd want an hour and a half to do the job - I'd suggest you allow Sunday...... It's all hand tools and patience.

Thank you very much. I'll see how much it is before I decide.
