Premium Appliance Brands Limited

No Longer Trading
This company or brand is no longer trading and there is no active support that we are currently aware of for the brand or products

The reason for including Premium Appliance Brands (PABL) in this section is that, whilst they do not actually manufacture any appliances, they do brand and import many makes that you may see out there.

Established in Cheshire in 2002, by Guy Weaver and Peter Brazier, PAB supplies major kitchen appliances such as built-in and free standing ovens, hobs, dishwashers, laundry and American-style fridge freezers.

PAB designs and sources unique ranges for trade customers by offering consumers value for money, in other words budget appliances in the main from what we see.

The PAB brands include Cuisina, Eurolec, Kompact, Aztec and Sarena, for specific distributors. In early 2005 PABL took control of the Bernstein name which brought them the White Westinghouse and Cookers brand names when Bernstein entered liquidation. Since then the Bernstein name appears to have been dropped and the website taken down.

To our knowledge any warranties outstanding from Bernstein are no longer honored.

Most Bernstein products were sold, it would appear, through B&Q as well as kitchen specialists as a budget appliance make.

Premium Appliance Brands also fell into administration in 2009 leaving little or no support for older products and no warranty issued on any of the brands that the company owned will now be honoured

Reports in the press suggest that both directors of PABL went on to for a company called Appliance 365.

PABL Retail Prices

The brands are mostly aimed at the budget range and sold through kitchen specialists as part of a kitchen package and so often the true cost is hidden within that. Some of the ovens and dishwashers are not at all good from a service engineers point of view, especially the current crop of Chinese dishwashers.

All the appliances are sourced from Europe, mainly Italy and China from what we see. There have been reports from customers stating that some of these brands have been sold to them as being German made by kitchen retailers, to our knowledge none of the appliances are sourced from Germany.

PABL Spare Parts

As with others who appear to use a lot of the same suppliers, spares pricing isn't too bad although there can be difficulty in obtaining spares and technical information, notably for the Chinese produced appliances.

Although many spares for the various brands are now difficult to obtain, notably cosmetic spares and spares that were unique to each brand, most functional spares are still available from our store. If you are looking for a part that is unlisted please ask as we can often source the part or an alternative.

If you are having trouble tracking down spare parts for any PABL product please contact us by email on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  and we will try to help you as best we possibly can in locating the spare parts you require.

PABL Service & Repairs

Obviously as the company is no longer trading there is no service backup. No network of repairers or any official servicing arrangements.

The good news however is that many independent repairers should have little trouble repairing most of the products as they were generic and use spares used on and, still available for, many other brands. You can search for an approved independent repairer using our free engineer search facility.

Are You Being Conned On Repairs?

Before you consider a fixed cost repair, which many manufacturers offer now, or get scared into taking out a "repair contract" because you're given stupidly high repair quotes on the phone please read this article first.  It will take you five minutes and could save you a lot of cash.
In some cases, you might not even be calling the manufacturer for service on their products at all, just a large call centre owned by a warranty company or insurer!
