Since its founding in 1854, Electrolux Arthur Martin has always concentrated on innovative kitchen and cleaning solutions that make the consumers' life easier and more enjoyable.
Created as a family foundry business in 1854, Nestor Martin produced its first gas cooker in 1934 and its first fridge in 1952. Joining the Electrolux Group in 1976.
The brand combines the right balance of simplicity and exclusive design to make household appliances much more than just a white box. Examples of innovation include the first washing machine to complete a full cycle in less than 35 minutes and the first inclined front-loading washing machine. This greatly improves the ergonomics of loading and unloading the wash. Electrolux Arthur Martin also introduced the soft drum opening on top-loading washing machine, IZZI, the easiest dishwasher, and a temperature indicator on all of its fridges.
The Arthur Martin brand seems to simply follow the likes of AEG, Zanussi and others in being "just another brand" for the gigantic Electrolux Group.
Retail prices doubtless reflect Electrolux's feeling on where the brand name should be pitched in the marketplace but it does not seem to be a particularly common or sought after brand in the UK.
Some spares are available for UK sold appliances from our spares store and many are available to order.
