Blanco Domestic Appliances

BLANCO was founded by Heinrich Blanc back in 1925. The business was dedicated to producing a range of innovative but functional products, initially in premium-quality stainless steel, later developing various other quality materials.

Today the company is acclaimed internationally, and supply over 120 countries from the Head Office in Germany.

At the heart of this is concern for the environment and, many years ago, BLANCO set up a department devoted to the development of environmentally-friendly products and production processes

Retail Prices

As a general guide, not cheap. But then, good quality German appliances rarely are cheap. Blanco sell cooker hoods under their own name and also a range of hoods sold as "Blanco by Gutmann" hoods which are, by all accounts, very good indeed, just don't expect the word "cheap" to be in the equation.

In other areas of the world, such as Australia, Blanco does have an extended range of laundry and cooking appliances but very little is known about them at this time.

Spares Pricing

Currently we have little idea of spares pricing, who repairs these hoods or indeed whether spares are easily available although we would expect that the backup will be executed with the usual Teutonic efficiency that we are used to from the Germans. We would assume that this lack of information is simply due to Blanco being a low volume specialist manufacturer and that spares or service are rarely required.
