Best SpA Cooker Hoods

Until recently we hadn't seen these hoods being sold in the UK really under the "Best" name but we have seen them at trade shows and also as branded products for names such as Diplomat and Hygena.

Best SpA have been around since 1976 and specialise in cooker hoods offering some very different designs indeed although what the hoods are actually like for much more than that, at present, we are unable to tell you.

However, Best do manufacture for other brands, notably MFI under the Hygena and Diplomat brands in the UK and whilst adequate with reasonably priced spares, they appear to be not outstanding.

Weak points appear to be the cooker hood switches and lampholders on some models which appear to be a common failure. However, with the amount of popular models sold using some of these parts it is unsurprising that they are used a lot.

In 2010 however the brand of Best Cooker Hoods has been introduced to the UK under the power of Brittania Cookers (the company is actually called Brittania Living LTD.) with a range of 36 cooker hoods primarily seemingly aimed at the higher end of the market.

This being the case we would expect that spares and accessories, including filters etc., will probably fall under the same restrictions that we find with Brittania cookers. This means that the choices for spares and servicing may possibly be quite limited.
