Vestfrost is Denmark's largest manufacturer of refrigerators and freezers, and one of the world's largest manufacturers of chest freezers. Since the company was founded in 1963, our production lines in Esbjerg have supplied more than 12 million refrigerators and freezers to happy and satisfied customers throughout the world.
The company was owned by Electrolux until 2003 from sometime in the 1970's but is now back under Danish ownership. The company is now owned by the Esbjerg Group, consisting of three local families and a number of other shareholders with strong connections to Esbjerg and its surrounding area.
In 1998 Vestfrost was the first company in Europe to achieve the Ecolabel for a fridge freezer - the EU environmental "flower" label.
Vestfrost has always been pretty keenly priced as well as being of good quality, but then from the Danes we wouldn't really expect anything else. In relative terms it's good value for the quality of product on offer and for the most part, good value for money even if it isn't an obvious choice here in the UK.
Pretty good again, spares aren't stupid prices as they are for many and the machines are generally fairly straightforward for the engineers.
There has been some dubiety over spares availability after the parting from Electrolux but, on the whole, we've found it to be okay.
