New World Domestic Appliances

New World is a brand that historically has been associated with cooking products, notably freestanding cookers and was aquired in 2001 by the Glen Dimplex group and thus appears as merely a subset of the group these days.

Essentially the New World brand appears to be being used for the entry level products that the group sells these days so as not to dilute (or polute) the more upmarket Stoves and Belling brand names.

The products look to be chopped down versions of the Stoves appliances for the most part with some Chinese refrigeration and integrated dishwashers. Some of the built in cooking products, such as built in ovens and hobs, appear to be bought in from the likes of Beko.

New World spares are fairly easy to come by and don't rpesent too much of an issue and we do list a great many New World spares in our online spares store, which you can reach from this link.

Most New World spares are fairly reasonably priced, there's the odd exception but for the most part they are actually okay.

Any spares that are not listed in our online store can be ordered so long as they are still available from the factory.

When ordering New World (or Stove and Belling) spare parts you will often need to locate the rating plate which on most cookers will be inside the oven door or one of the storage drawers and get the proper model number and also the production number. For some New World spares this information is absolutely vital but most run of the mill spares can be found with only the model number.

New World Service

Like all the other Glen Dimplex brands official service is carried out through Glen Dimplex's own employed engineers. Service quality should be high from Glen Dimplex.

When you call Glen Dimplex for service outside of warranty, according to reports we've had, they will route you to a warranty company who will try to sell you onto a maintenance contract for a monthly fee. The offer will seem tempting but it is actually expensive when you add it up but you can find out more about this from this article and make your own mind up, at least you will be informed.

Alternatively, out of warranty servicing offers you up other options.

The independent engineers are liable to repair any New World appliance cheaper and more quickly that Glen Dimplex and, you don't have to deal with a call centre trying to sell you onto a never ending maintenance contract. Of course if you choose to service your New World appliance yourself you have to appreciate that there is little to no servicing information available publically. In fact, there's very little service information available outside of Glen Dimplex themselves but then, they are going to promote their own service and try to protect that business.
