The Sub-Zero Freezer Company was founded in 1945, by Westye F. Bakke in Madison, Wisconsin and build high quality and very durable products that border on commercial grade, probably better then some commercial appliances. Westye also forms the name of the UK distributor, the Westye Group.
In 2000, they acquired the domestic appliance line of the Wolf Range Corporation, a California-based manufacturer of professional-style ranges, cooktops and grills for both home and commercial use.
Wolf Appliance Inc., Sub-Zero's expanded the few products acquired from Wolf Range Corporation. It now sells a full array of domestic cooking appliances from kitchen stoves, cooktops, wall ovens, warming drawers and ventilation equipment. The company's products compete with those made by Viking, Dacor, Thermador, GE Monogram, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air and Miele, in other words, right at the very top of the market.
Not much is known about servicing for this very exclusive brand other than that, at present, all contact regarding the products is through the Westye Group's London headquarters.
Again, little is known and no spare parts are available from any of the trade spare distribution channels that we can find. We would therefore presume that the only source of spare parts is from Sub Zero themselves which will also restrict servicing choices.
Not many of the repair companies in the engineer search will repair Sub Zero, the lack of spare parts or, where to even get them may explain why.
