Currys Essentials brand logoEssentials is a budget brand for the electrical retailer Currys and is an exclusive brand to the retailer but they do not actually make the products. All the washing machine and dishwasher models we could find appear to be rebranded Vestel products with some that appear to have come from China, namely Midea or Haier but with little to no information on the actual brand name itself.

Given the price points it is reasonable to say that these appliances are not of particularly high quality and will not be built to take much more than light use.

  Essentials Market Position

Budget brand positioned at the very bottom of the market that is exclusively sold through Currys both in store and online.

  Essentials Service

All service is now, so far as we are aware, being handled by Curry's own KnowHow service.

  Essentials Spare Parts

Currys has exclusivity to the brand's spares and no alternative suppliers are known other than perhaps a few spare parts that have been cross referenced that have been also used on other brands. Supply of spare parts seems to be extremely limited beyond Currys as a retail outlet.

Not enough information on the Arda brand to offer a lot of opinion
Essentials is, essentially, another re-branded range of appliance with limited support and limited supplies of spare parts outside of the warranty.

Your call centre is the worst Call Centre i ever had the displeasure to deal with all they do is pass the buck from one place to another I spent all day yesterday the 8th of June on the phone trying to get an answer to the problem that I have. by the way I bought a new freezer on the 4th of june god's sake I'm only missing one of the back stabilisers on the back of the freezer how hard can it be and still I don't know where I stand never buying anything from you again total crap service

Not that we are aware of, no.The Zanussi is probably the better bet for all the extra cost.

Searching for a small upright freezer I found two that would fit the space available, at 50cm wide. Peering closely at the illustrations, they seem to be indentical:Zanu ssi ZFG06400WA Freezer at John Lewis £145 with two year guarantee. At Curry's, ESSENTIALS CUF50W12 Undercounter Freezer, £129. Home care plan to buy at £18 pa basic. Do Zanussi and Curry's use the same manufacturer for freezers, or does Zanussi make Curry's Essential freezers?
