Bosch KKU Fridge Freezer Fault Codes

Error or fault codes that are displayed on Bosch KKU range freezer models and these fault codes may or may not be the same as are used on other Bosch fridge freezer models.

The error code is displayed as a digital code, exactly as you will see below with little variation on most models.

Since the fault codes for these Bosch freezers for the general public's use they may not offer a lot of help in many cases. For the service engineer they give a steer in the right direction but, that's about it really. Beyond the general meanings it is down to investigation and proper fault diagnosis.

Bosch KKU Fridge Freezer Fault Codes

These fault codes are written for appliance repairers and not for the general public by Bosch and they assume a certain level of competence and in some cases specific training on the part of the user in diagnostic routines. We have added some notes to try to assist you in determining the nature of the fault you have but, you will still need to investigate each failure on its own merits. The fridge will operate on ten minutes on, ten minutes off is this error code is displayed.

If this error code is displayed the compressor will run continuously and the error relates to the freezer air sensor.

The Freezer evaporator sensor controls the fridge freezer defrost cycle which runs for eighteen minutes once in every twenty four hour period.

Bosch Spares

Please check that any Bosch spares recommended are suitable for use on your particular model and serial number. If you are unsure about the suitability of any spare part please ask to ensure that you get the correct spares for your fridge freezer. Please, don't guess or assume as spares can be altered on a production run with the same model number having several different alternative components used.

If you need to order any Bosch spares please be able to give us the ENR or GB number (preferably both) from the rating plate of the fridge freezer, do not trust that the numbers on any literature such as user guides will be correct as they often aren't.
