All - Spare Parts Supplies Using UK Whitegoods to get spares and general parts advice
Hi, if you have visited the site looking for spares you are in the right place as there are plenty of good trade members that are constantly on this site and will only be too willing to help you, even with some of the more obscure requests for spares.
We give you all this information and encourage people to read through this because we want to ensure you get the right part, with the right advice and that you stay a customer of UK Whitegoods or one of the many companies that use UK Whitegoods. We provide a qualty service and we're proud of it.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of our customers seem to agree with that from the feedback that we get although we choose not to publish it as it's only the good stuff that ever gets aired on almost every website. But we'd say, look in the forums and see you can what our customers really think of our service without any interference from us.
And we can supply virtually any spare part for almost every appliance on the UK (and other) markets where we do not consider the part a possible danger to fit.
Spare Parts On The Net
You could spend hours looking for a supplier to give you price and availability of a spare on the internet, I know, I’ve tried! But here you can get an answer pretty quickly, but do bear in mind that most of the trade are on the site during the week within normal working hours and that’s when the response to your request will be quickest.
The reason for this is that there are quite literally, millions of spares out there for many, many brands so finding them all on any one site or from any one retailer is virtually impossible. But, with the collective knowledge of the industry on this site your chances of getting the spares you need are vastly increased. Even if someone here cannot supply the spares they can often tell you where you will be able to obtain the spare from so it's worth a try. Many of the members of this site have many years in the trade and can answer questions quickly and very accurately indeed.
We all take pride in the fact that what we provide is a quick, efficient and honest service.
Direct Spares Hotline: 0845 226 3258 (lo call)
Available 9am to 12:30pm and 1pm to 5pm Monday to Friday excl. Bank Holidays
There have also, sadly been reports of sellers on the net not being up to scratch, it's something we do not tolerate on UK Whitegoods and the people handling spares for UK Whitegoods have a great many years of experience in the trade, both on spares and service work. We've been around for years, in some cases decades, because we treat customer's correctly, it's that simple.
When buying online also be very wary of parts that seem to cheap, the old caveat of, if it seems to good to be true then it likely is, most certainly applies. Not all spares parts are the same and they are most certainly not allof equal quality, you can read more about this subject from this link
In addition to that, many of the people that are regulars in the forums carry out actual manufacturer service on behalf of a myriad of brand names from Electrolux and Whirlpool, to Hoover and Hotpoint, to more obscure brands like Caple and Lofra most, if not all UK sold brands someone on here is either or has been an agent for and, even if not, we've most likely heard of the brand!
We want to make buying goods from UK Whitegoods as painless as humanly possible and as easy as we can possibly make it as it shouldn't be a chore. Yes, I'm afraid we have to ask for a lot of details but that's to protect our customer's security as much as our own.
But payment can be made in several ways, please feel free to use whichever you like or feel comfortable with, this of course includes simply giving us a call as well as the online payment methods that we offer.
The best way to get information is to ask in the forums, you’ll see a little bit of text in the top bar above this that says “forums”, this is a clickable link that will take you there. After that scroll down to the “Parts Enquiries” forum and click on that, select “New Post” and type away with your request.
UK Whitegoods is represented in the forums by "kwatt" (Kenneth Watt) and "dave_conway" (Dave Conway) both of whom do speak on and supply spares directly on behalf of UK Whitegoods.
The forums will bring answers, but sometimes you may have to be patient, especially outside normal office hours (GMT) but it's very, very rare that an enquiry goes unanswered on UKW, a true testament to the sheer proffessionalism of the people that frequent the forums.
If you do use the forums, please post only once to one thread and do not use BOLD text, it is considered to be rude, the internet equivelent of shouting, do not "cross-post" into other forums and be nice, we're trying to help you! Breaching these simple requirements is more likely to bring less not more responses!

And of course you can phone the main office in Kilmarnock on 0845 226 1272 (Local call rate, not a premium rate number)
Or even fax us on 0845 226 2508 (Another local call rate number)
We apologise to our competitors but we don't think that customers should have to pay us, or be penilised with a high cost call, to be able to phone us for information or help, we think that should just be part of the service that we provide.
Shop@, email & The Helpdesk
Of course we do now have the shop facility (Shop@ on the navigation panel to the left) which will steadily grow over time as we add the most popular spare parts into the database there but we could never add every single spare. The shop is maintained by UK Whitegoods and spares are generally dispatched from Exeter (Dave Conway) within two working days depending on stock and the time that the order is placed. Of course we will always give you the best possible information on lead times for special order spares.
Of course stock items are normally dispatched on the day they are ordered, if before 2pm and in 90% of cases recieved the following day.
We also have a spares enquiry facility available if you click onto the "Help Desk" function in the main navigation menu to the left or simply click this link to be taken to that page. However, please have your make and model number at least available before submitting a query.
You can also email our spares department directly using this email address spares@ukwhitegoods.com who will answer your enquiry as quickly as possible. Please bear in mind that we will need all the relevant information about the appliance (as detailed below) to enable us to help you quickly, the more information you give the more accurate we can be.
What We Can't Do!
Please note that we cannot supply any spares or accessories outside of the UK, we can only deliver to a UK postal address except by special arrangement.
Also, please be aware that we are not allowed, by EU legislation to hand out any technical information or manuals including wiring diagrams unless they are supplied with the spare from the manufacturer. We're sorry but that's the way it is and the law is the law.
We are also unable to provide technical support via email, we would suggest that you enquire using the forums as that does work for such enquries.
We cannot accept spares for return that have been fitted or that are damaged due to a fitting attempt that failed. We're sorry but the manufacturers won't accept them back from us and there are a lot of unsrupulous people out there that buy spares to try them and see if it cures the problem and, if not, then try to return them. Of course this does not affect your statutory rights in any way, we just think it's best to be clear, open and honest on our policy in this as with everything else.
The Information You Have To Give Us
When you request spares please give as much information as possible about the part you require, make and model number are absolutely essential to enable anyone to help you as a general rule. Otherwise its a bit like walking into a Ford dealer and asking for a hose from one of their cars with no other information, I'm sure you get the idea.
Also bear in mind that what we see when looking up spares is not a photograph of the part or product that you own, in 99% of cases we'll see something like this picture:
Given that you have to be pretty accurate with the description so that we can tie up what part you are actually seeking with such a simple line drawing. These are as good as it gets in most cases I'm afraid and there are no measurements or any other information usually other than a brief description (like, drain pump) and a part number.
Model numbers will be on the appliance somewhere, normally on the rating plate and please take the full model number including any suffixes.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you get the model number information from the rating plate on the appliance and NOT FROM THE INSTRUCTION LEAFLET, more often than not the instructions will cover a range of appliances and the spares may differ greatly from what you actually require. In many cases where the rating plate is illegible or damged we may not be able to help you.
To find many manufacturer's spares these days you will also need the production code, serial number or both in some cases. German machines are bad for that and the likes of Bosch/Neff/Siemens appliances the FNR or ENR number is absolutely essential, without it there may be little help available to you. Again, all this information will be found on the rating plate.
Rating plates are generally found in the locations as below:
Fridges/Freezers - At the crisper drawer stuck on the inner wall of the appliance or on the fridge door, occasionally on the back.
Washers/Dryers - Inside the filter flap, inside the inner lip of the door or on the back.
Ovens - On the door down one of the sides, silver sticker or occasionaly on the back.
Cookers - In the pan drawer, inside the oven door as above, under the hoptop (older models) and on the back.
Dishwashers - On the back, inside the door on the actual lip of the door and occasionally behind the kickplate.
Microwaves - On the back for freestanding or as ovens for built-in models.
Of course there can be other places that you will find the model number, it can be printied on the fascia of the appliance and often is, but this may not be enough information to accurately find what you need. But it's better than nothing!
Please be aware that UK Whitegoods provides the forums service free of charge for both parties and accepts no liability for transactions not carried out on behalf of UK Whitegoods in any way.
There are main agents, resellers, retailers or spares suppliers as well as manufacturers representation on the UK Whitegoods website for most recognised UK brands including all of the following brands, but don't panic if you don't see yours here.. just ask as we'll probably be able to get you spares if they are available.
More Information
as you can see spares aren't just as simple as you may have previously thought they were and here's links to other articles explaining much more about spare parts in greater depth:
Are You Sure You Want That Part? common mistakes that peolpe make when they "guess" at what's wrong and notes on how not to make mistakes
Spare Part Pricing what we think about spare part pricing, this may be shocking
You can also follow the links from the logos below to find out much more about the various brands where we have articles in our Manufacturers Section of the site.
Waterline - Whirlpool - White Knight - White Westinghouse
Zanussi - Zerowatt
Put another way, if it's for a major domestic appliance and we can't get the spare you need then you probably won't get it... period!
Delivery Times
Many, many drive belts that are in the online store we physically hold in stock and are often shipped the same day that we receive your order. Even if it is a door seal that isn’t so common we would usually have most within a day or two and it would ship the same day it was received.
Finding An Appliance Spare Part
There is a bewildering array of spare parts and it's very, very easy to get the wrong part if you don't know how to search and locate the correct spare. Even we can get it wrong on occasion and, we've got scores of years of experience looking up spare parts!
There is often limited information on spare parts for any appliance and this is what, in many cases, makes it so difficult to track a part down but, we've made it as painless as possible for you.
The picture on the right shows the search function on the shop, clicking the picture will open the shop in a new tab or window. All you have to do is enter the model number where the red arrow is (number 1) and then press the "Search" button (orange arrow, number 2) to see what parts we have used on that particular machine.
If you can't find the part you will be taken to the "Contact Us" page where you will get an explanation of the basic information that we need to track down a spare part for your appliance, just fill in the form and submit it.
Normally we will answer your query inside a few hours but often a lot faster than that.
