LG Electronics and Viking Range Corporation in the United States have entered a strategic alliance to expand international sales, the appliance manufacturers have said in a joint statement.
Through the collaboration, LG wants to reach more U.S. consumers over Viking's distribution network, while Viking is a strong player in premium commercial kitchen and high end home appliances, is seeking to increase its sales in Asia Pacific.
The two will also cooperate in product sourcing, research and service.
Viking distributors are expected to offer LG products starting in the second quarter, according to the statement.
LG has been successful in North America with its refrigerators and washing machines and wants to build a presence in built-in cooking appliances.
