Sizzling sales of kitchen appliances have won Swansea store Enterprise 2000 a Ford Transit Connect LWB van in a Hoover customer incentive competition.
The commercial vehicle was offered by long-standing Ford Connect user Hoover Ltd to the store which recorded the biggest sales increase.

Hoover: Hoover Launches More High Capacity Washing Machines
&paHoover has unveiled two new high capacity washing machines, the 10kg Dynamic 10 Wash and Dynamic 10 Steam.
Hoover states that the Dynamic 10 washing machines take larger loads than many others on the market, but are also quieter and more energy efficient than previous models.
gegsy writes "Calls have been made for a "serious plan of action" to support the 337 people affected by Hoover's decision to close its factory in Merthyr Tydfil.
Assembly Member for the area, Huw Lewis, made the calls after confirmation was made that the plant would cease production on 14 March. "

Wale Online has reported that any hope of saving Hoover production workers’ jobs are fading fast. Meetings with management have so far failed to give any glimmer of hope, says John Jones, Unite union convenor at the Merthyr Tydfil plant.
Working five days but getting paid for four is one idea the union has thrown into the consultation arena as a possible lifeline to keep manufacturing at Merthyr and save as many of the 337 jobs under threat as possible.

Hoover Candy have confirmed that up to 337 jobs will be lost at their facility at Merthyr Tydfill. Unions have held crisis talks with managers at the Hoover headquarters in south Wales after Candy (who own Hoover) announced up to 337 manufacturing jobs could be lost.
The company, which makes washing machines and tumble driers in Merthyr Tydfil, said it could no longer make competitively-priced items at the site.
Unite and TUC members also met the Welsh deputy first minister.
