  • Siemens dishwasher running auto cycle on maximum time

My fairly new German-made Siemens IQ300 dishwasher (I've had it for about 5 months) has seemingly developed a habit lately of running a full cycle in the auto programme, despite the dishes not being particularly dirty. The display suggests that the cycle should take 2 hours 15 min (or 2 hours 20 min if there's no rinse aid), but it actually ends up taking 2 hours 30 minutes. Until recently, it was not unusual for my dishwasher to reduce the cycle time with an hour or so, so I find it strange that it's now spending even more time that what it initially estimates.

Does this suggest a faulty aqua (turbidity) sensor? Is there any way for me to check this? I'm assuming that if the sensor is faulty, that it's a warranty issue, so I obviously don't want to dismantle anything, but is it possible to see if any error codes are logged?

Or is this likely to be caused by something else than a faulty sensor, and if so, what might be the cause?
