KitchenAid company logoKitchenAid

KitchenAid was an American producer of small appliances famed for its iconic stand mixers that it produced from 1919 as well as its blenders but nowadays is merely another own brand label that is owned by the massive Whirlpool Corporation.

In 1949 KitchenAid started to make dishwashers and in 1985 it bought the Chambers Company to produce cookers.

KitchenAid was a proper company in its own right until it was purchased, after much legal wrangling, shortly after entering the cooking segment by Whirlpool in 1986 so, it’s been Whirlpool owned for a long time.

Therefore any products that carry the KitchenAid name today are, like many others, simply rebranded Whirlpool under the skin. Although, they will generally carry a much higher price tag.

Given the price point though KitchenAid is a rare sight for the field service guys and for use as well on spare parts although blender drives are fairly common.

  KitchenAid Market Position

Marketed as being “premium” kitchen appliances but realistically we can see not a huge difference from other Whirlpool products, veritably not enough of a difference to justify the price bump to get the KitchenAid name.

Expect KitchenAid product to be available “at selected retailers”.

  KitchenAid Service

So far as we aware, just the same as it is for Whirlpool and the rest of the Whirlpool brands.

If you expect special or preferential treatment we’d think you may be in for a bit of disappointment on that front.

  KitchenAid Spare Parts

Again, much the same as Whirlpool in terms of availability and pricing.

Not a lot to go on as there's not much Kitchen Aid in the field, in the UK at least

The abject lack of technical information alone makes it hard but couple that with high spare part prices and DIY repairs could prove hard at best

Our advice, avoid this one!
Paying premium money for a a rebadged Whirlpool product will never strike us as a good idea, read into that what you will

I am about to get married on a budget in 2 months time and will be making my own wedding cake.
I have viewed hundreds of UTube videos of demonstrators using Kitchen Aid. This I have learned is a free gift, on the condition that the individual writes a review.
I am willing to sample your product, in order to make my wedding cake, sending you pics and then write a review based on my experience.
Please say yes!!!!
