Galanz is a Chinese manufacturer of small and full size domestic appliances that has it’s headquarters based in Foshan, Guangdong China.
They are said to be the largest microwave oven manufacturer in the world, producing one in every two microwave ovens worldwide.
And, like many Chinese companies do, they will make own label brand products for virtually anyone.
For example their tumble dryer is used by the likes of Montpellier, Russell Hobs and quite probably others. Refrigeration by own label brands and we’re pretty sure we’ve seen their washing machines as well.
Microwaves you can see virtually everywhere! Loads of people in the UK will likely have one and probably have no clue it was made by this company.
None of the products that are in the uk will have the Galanz brand name on them anywhere presently. Made in PRC is probably the best you can hope for.
We even sussed that Fagor’s Sputnik microwave was in fact a Galanz machine rebadged, before Fagor went bust of course.
The bulk of the own label built in microwaves you see on sale today and probably made by this company.
Galanz do have a .co.uk website that at the time of writing only sold small appliances like rice cookers, kettles, bread makers and so on and we do not know of any plans for the brand to move into large kitchen appliances under it's own brand in the UK or Europe.
Galanz Market Position
Varies depending on who’s name is slapped onto the machines.
Quality levels seem okay from what we’ve seen in fairness, at least for a Chinese manufacturer they’re okay.
Galanz Spare Parts
No route to spare parts at all in the UK other than through the importers of the large products so, if you need parts you may well be stuck.
