Whitegoods Trade Association
Like DASA the Whitegoods Trade Association (WTA) isn't actually a service provider in the truest understanding of those in the industry and it doesn't claim to be either. It is however worth mentioning in this section as the WTA has helped numerous manufacturers to source appliance repairers across the UK to work with directly.
For some manufacturers this is a very useful service that the association provides, not only because you get pointed directly to members that care and a professional but, also that the WTA do this completely free of charge. So, there is absolutely no risk at all in using this service to the brand owner or manufacturer.
The WTA has also offered lots of free help and advice to brand owners on how to improve their service working with leading manufacturers such as Amica, Liebherr, Rangemaster, Vestel and many others in most sectors of the market.
Manufacturers and others benefit from the WTA being at the forefront of requirements that matter such as Alternate Dispute Resolution automatically proved to all members to comply a fully as possible with the Consumer Rights Charter, operation to the Code Of Practice that was vetted by the OFT until its demise and more to ensure that WTA members are reputable traders bring huge comfort to not only the client but also to end customers.

For Private Repairs
If you just have a broken appliance and want it fixed, WTA members should be the first choice due to the above.
We endorse and support that by actively promoting (for free) WTA members over non-members on the engineer search and throughout the site. For us as a company, there is no commercail advantage to this whatsoever. It's just the right thing to do.
It is the right thing because, you have the chance to get a better repair from a better company and it would be wrong (in our eyes) if we put commercial gain above ensuring that our customers or users got a sub-standard service just so we could make a few pence for every hit.
That may have upset some people in the industry, some may even be well hacked off about that stance but, too bad. We'll do what we think is best for our customers and 99/100 referring people to WTA members is the best thing to do.
