Oven And Cooker Fault Codes Across Brands And Series
One of the reasons that we have been reluctant in the past to publish tumble dryer fault codes is that they are not always what they may first appear to be. Several of the larger cooker and oven manufacturers will produce appliances under multiple brands and they, like some smaller manufacturers, will also produce machines for other brands and they will use the same PCBs or fault codes across several ranges. This can become very confusing for us let alone the public and, we work with this stuff every day!
Before you start looking up a cooker or oven fault code first of all try to find out which ones will actually relate to your particular appliance and a good place to start is to look up the brand in our manufacturer section to see if the brand belongs to another company. If you see that the brand is owned by another company, for example Hotpoint is now owned by Indesit, then there's a good chance that many fault codes from later Indesit models after they bought Hotpoint will also relate to many Hotpoint models.
Where manufacturers buy in certain models, which happens a lot even on the big brand names and especially so for built in and integrated appliances, you may have to look about a bit to find the correct fault code you need.
