Fault or error codes used in dishwashers that turn up in all sorts of guises from various brands such as CDA, Hygena, Diplomat, Teka, Caple and many more. These are Chinese dishwashers made by a company called Haier and, to be blunt, they're really not very good to offer the polite version.
These dishwashers have been riddled with problems and a lot of the engineers don't just not like them, some won't even repair them they're so bad!
The note in the Fault Code Guide says: It is worth noting that these dishwashers suffer from extremely poor reliability problems, recalls are highly likely!
Multi-function Detergent Tablets And Chinese Dishwashers
It is also worth pointing out that these machines are very prone to “overfill” problems.
This has been found in the field to be caused largely due to the use of multi-function tablets as they can “over foam” on the rinse cycle and cause flooding into the base. Both the Haier and Midea produced dishwashers seem to be prone to this issue.
Should the customer use rinse aid as well as a multi-function tablet with a rinse aid function, then the overfill condition can be reached far quicker and more severely.
The other cause of this can be the customer opening the door whilst the machine is on, for example to add an item once the program has started, as this causes a temperature differential, increases the interior pressure and forces water into the overflow flooding the base. That’s the official explanation, what we’ve found is that the machines are often poorly installed and opening the door causes a “wave” to the front which drains into the overflow and floods the base.
Of course the above is often found to be the cause of the overfill error but by then it's too late and the machine is already faulty. It is not unusual for this to cause the demise of the thermostats and quite possibly other electrical components in the base should they get wet.
These dishwasher fault codes will displayed as a binary code, exactly as you will see below, using the LEDs in the panel or display on the dishwasher door.

Haier 6 LED Dishwasher Fault Codes
Like other fault codes these written for dishwasher repairers and not for the general public by the various brands that use these dishwashers and they assume a certain level of competence on the part of the user in diagnostic routines. We may have added some notes to try to assist you in determining the nature of the fault you have but, you will still need to investigate each failure on its own merits. For more help and advice on fault finding on a dishwasher please refer to our basic fault finding guide from this link before you begin.
Please check that any dishwasher spares recommended are suitable for use on your particular model and production code or serial number. If you are unsure about the suitability of any spare part please ask to ensure that you get the correct spares for your dishwasher. Please, don't guess or assume as spares can be altered on a production run with the same model number having several different alternative components used.

You must understand certain things before you begin or attempt any repairs on your own and we want to make these points clear to anyone that decides to investigate one of these or any other dishwashers:
- We are not responsible for your safety, you are and by using this guide you accept that and accept that any damage that you may cause and work undertaken is entirely at your own risk.
- We will advise the common causes of the fault codes but we cannot guarantee that any parts or work recommended will resolve the issue. It is entirely your responsibility to diagnose your particular problem and resolve it.
- We are not responsible for you buying spares that do not resolve the problem, this is down to your own diagnosis not ours.
- No warranty is inferred, implied or given.
You also have to understand that dishwasher fault or error codes are not a "magic bullet", they will not tell you what the problem is, they will only offer you an indication of where the problem lies and they are no substitute for good old fashioned diagnostic skills. You can find out more about what fault codes actually tell you in this article. So please be well aware that, even with this new found knowledge you will still have to actually be capable of investigating and diagnosing the problem and this means adhering to basic appliance safety for working on them.
Please note that manufacturers can and do change fault codes without notice and we cannot guarantee that these error codes will apply to your particular model as all codes apply to a wide range of appliances and not normally any one specific model. To determine if these fault codes do apply to your particular dishwasher model please post a request to confirm this in the forums.
