Beko Dishwasher Fault Codes And Test

Like other fault codes these written for dishwasher repairers and not for the general public by Beko and they assume a certain level of competence on the part of the user in diagnostic routines. We may have added some notes to try to assist you in determining the nature of the fault you have but, you will still need to investigate each failure on its own merits. For more help and advice on fault finding on a dishwasher please refer to our basic fault finding guide from this link before you begin.

Please check that any Beko dishwasher spares recommended are suitable for use on your particular model and production code or serial number. If you are unsure about the suitability of any spare part please ask to ensure that you get the correct spares for your dishwasher. Please, don't guess or assume as spares can be altered on a production run with the same model number having several different alternative components used.

    Dishwasher Function Test

Functional test is a special sequence of program steps dedicated for service purposes.

During the test some fault conditions can be detected by the electronics and shown through program indicator lights as shown in the error codes below. It should be noted however that not all faults can be detected and that the problem may have to be diagnosed by the repairer.

In order to enter the functional test mode, while the dishwasher is switched off press the start/stop/pause and program selection buttons together and hold them while powering up the dishwasher, keep holding the buttons for 3 seconds.

All of the indicators light on for 2 seconds after entering the test mode except the salt and rinse aid light.

After entering the test mode, start the program by pressing the “start/stop” button.

Short program follows the steps below:

Memory reset

Drain out functional test Approximately 30 seconds

Water fill functional test Approximately 3 litres

Water circulation, heating and detergent functional test Approximately 60 seconds

Water circulation and heating functional test Approximately 2 minutes

Regeneration valve functional test Approximately 60 seconds

Water inlet and draining

Approximately 3 litres

Drain out test Approximately 30 seconds

End of functional test Approximately 30 seconds

During the test program, if any errors or faults are detected then they will be displayed in the manner as shown below for fault codes.

  Beko Dishwasher Fault Codes

Dishwasher turbidity sensor error

The turbidity sensor is the sensor in the sump that detects the presence of deterrgent.

Dishwasher diverter valve position error

The diverter valve is the valve that controls the water flow to the either the top or bottom spray arms or to both at the same time.

NTC Error

The dishwasher cannot read the temperature sensor.

Uninterruptable water inlet error

The electronic controller of the dishwasher monitors the water counter pulses during every step of the wash program.

If the pulses received from the counter at any stage except when the dishwasher is supposed to be filling, and if the received pulses exceed 0.6 lt. of water then this error will be displayed. When the fault detected, software drives the drain pump with 1 minute intervals (1 min ON, 1 min. OFF). During this interval if counter pulses stop (the dishwasher ceases to fill) then program will continue.

  • Malfunction of Water-Inlet Valve (stuck as open)
  • Malfunction of T7 triac on the electronic board

Water inlet fault

No water is detected to teh dishwasher or, it fails to fill.

Heating fault

The dishwasher canot detect the heater or reach the correct temperature.

More Beko Dishwasher Help, Advice And Guidance

Should you need more help and guidance please use the links from this article as most of them will help you to understand your dishwasher a lot better and probably very much help you in diagnosing the fault you have. Of course there are many other articles on the site that will also help you do this.

In addition you can post in our help and advice forums after registering but please do pay heed to the information below before doing so and read the guides, they are there to help you. But if you are in any doubt at all or don't think you are up to diagnosing the fault yourself please click here to find a local dishwasher engineer.

You must understand certain things before you begin or attempt any repairs on your own and we want to make these points clear to anyone that decides to investigate one of these or any other dishwashers:

  • We are not responsible for your safety, you are and by using this guide you accept that and accept that any damage that you may cause and work undertaken is entirely at your own risk.
  • We will advise the common causes of the fault codes but we cannot guarantee that any parts or work recommended will resolve the issue. It is entirely your responsibility to diagnose your particular problem and resolve it.
  • We are not responsible for you buying spares that do not resolve the problem, this is down to your own diagnosis not ours.
  • No warranty is inferred, implied or given.

You also have to be aware that these Beko dishwasher fault or error codes are not a "magic bullet", they will not tell you what the problem is, they will only offer you an indication of where the problem lies and they are no substitute for good old fashioned diagnostic skills. You can find out more about what fault codes actually tell you in this article. So please be well aware that, even with this new found knowledge you will still have to actually be capable of investigating and diagnosing the problem and this means adhering to basic appliance safety for working on them.

Also note that manufacturers can and do change fault codes without notice and we cannot guarantee that these error codes will apply to your particular model as all codes apply to a wide range of appliances and not normally any one specific model. To determine if these fault codes do apply to your particular Beko dishwasher model please post a request to confirm this in the forums.
