  Heat Pump Dryer Error Codes

Blomberg tumble dryer fault codes and spare parts

These fault codes apply to Blomberg heat pump tumble dryer models made by Beko in what they call their Sirius range which also icludes models from both the Beko and Grundig brands.

Before you start any investigation of the fault or even remove the lid of your Blomberg tumble dryer please read and fully understand this article in full and pay particular attention to the safety and information notices at the bottom of this page as they contain extremely important information!

  Heat Pump Tumble Dryer Test Program

1: Program selector is set as wool refresh and while pressing the cancel audio warning button, turn on the dryer. After 3 seconds service test program starts. In this program start/pause/cancel button is used to pass other steps.

2: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed, “SrUC” appears on display.

3: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed, “tEST” appears on display.

4: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed, “bS HP” appears on display. It means Sirius Heat Pump. On the upper-corner side, embedded software version appears on display.

5: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. All leds are blinking.

6: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. The last 3 failure codes are shown on the display in turns. There is no necessary to push start/pause button.

7: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed, buzzer sounds.

8: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. The values of the compressor NTC and door NTC are shown on the display.

(If NTC and/or Voltage Error occurs, it cannot be passed to the next steps till the Error disappears.)

9: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. Motor turns counter clockwise, “ntrL” appears on the display.

When the motor turns counter clockwise, the power consumption of motor is: 150W-260W @ 230V A.C.

10: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. The compressor cooling fan activates, “FAn” appears on the display.

When the FAN starts to run, the power consumption of the FAN motor is: 20W-40W @ 230V A.C. Step 11: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. The pump activates, “PunP” appears on the display. (If Error occurs, it can not be passed to the next steps till the Error disappears)

When the pump activates, the power consumption of the pump is: 10W-20W @ 230V A.C.

12: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. Motor turns clockwise, “nt rr” appears on the display.

When the motor turns clockwise, the power consumption of motor is: 150W-260W @ 230V A.C.

13: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. “hund” appears on the display.

Make the sensor short circuit by touching the sensor plate. Check if the sensors are short circuit. It cannot be passed to the next steps till the sensors are short circuit. “donE” appears on the display when sensors are short circuit. When the Start/Pause button is pushed, you can pass to the next steps.

14: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. “xxx” appears on the display. This is the open circuit ADC value.

Check the sensor if the sensor are open circuit. It cannot be passed to the next steps till the sensors are open circuit. When the sensor value reaches to 250ADC, it means open circuit and “Ohn” appears on the display. When the ADC value reaches to 250, it means sensor is open circuit and you can pass the next steps.

15: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. Compressor starts, and “ConP” appears on the display.

On the upper-corner side, the compressor NTC temperature value appears in degrees Celsius.

Compressor stops when the compressor NTC temperature value reaches to 55°C. (Sirius HP A-%10, A-%30)

Compressor stops when the compressor NTC temperature value reaches to 50°C. (Sirius HP A-%50)

When the compressor NTC temperature value reaches the upper limit, on the mid side, the duration of reaching the upper limit appears in minutes and seconds. The duration is between 5-11 minutes at 23°C ambient temperature.

When the compressor runs, the power consumption of the compressor is: 400W-850W @ 230V A.C. Step 16: “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed. All the components start, and “ALL” appears on the display.

17: When the “Start/pause/cancel button is pressed, Service test will go back to “Step 2”.

In order to go out of service test program you should use “On-Off” power button.

  Blomberg Tumble Dryer Fault Codes

These fault codes are written for tumble dryer repairers and not for the general public by Blomberg and they assume a certain level of competence on the part of the user in diagnostic routines. We have added some notes to try to assist you in determining the nature of the fault you have but, you will still need to investigate each failure on its own merits. Please, don't guess or assume as spares can be altered on a production run with the same model number having several different alternative components used.

The tumble dryer door has been opened while the machine is running
  • Close the door
  • Do not open the door until the program is completed

 

Er 02

Overflow switch error
  • Check for water leakage
  • Check the overflow switch operation
  • Check wiring to overflow switch

 

Er 03

Not used, idle
  • Not used

 

Er 04

Door temperature sensor (NTC) has exceeded 60˚C
  • The door sensor has exceeded a safe temperature, the compressor will stop for five minutes
  • Restart program after cool down
  • The front thermistor is defective or the control is recieving a false reading
  • Check wiring to thermistor
  • Replace the thermistor

 

Er 05

Start/Pause/Cancel buttom pressed during program
  • Restart program

 

Er 06

Compressor temperature sensor (NTC) has exceeded safe limits
  • The compressor sensor has exceeded a safe temperature, the compressor will stop for four minutes
  • Restart program after cool down
  • The compressor thermistor is defective or the control is recieving a false reading
  • Check wiring to thermistor
  • Replace the thermistor

 

Er 07

Not used, idle
  • Not used

 

Er 08

Drying program has exceeded the maximm permitted time

For cotton and synthetic programs the limit is 300 minutes

  • Restart the cycle after cool down and test again

 

Er 09

Mains supply voltage too low, less than 165 Volts
  • Corrrect mains supply voltage

 

Er 10

Mains supply voltage too high, greater than 265 Volts
  • Corrrect mains supply voltage

 

Er 11

Compressor temperature sensor (NTC) has exceeded maximum permitted operation limits

The compressor NTC can only operate with up to 40 instances of being over the maximum permitted temperature in a single program, if this limit is exceeded then this error code will be displayed anda cool down phase initiated.

  • Restart program after cool down
  • The compressor thermistor is defective or the control is recieving a false reading
  • Check wiring to thermistor
  • Replace the thermistor

 

Er 12

Rotary error
  • Check operation rotary control

 

Er 13

Not used, idle
  • Not used

 

Er 14

Humidity Sensor has exceeded the maximm permitted time

For cotton and synthetic programs the limit is 300 minutes

  • Restart the cycle after cool down and test again

 

Er 15

Drum idle at the start of sensor drying programs
  • Check operation of the drum
  • Check motor operation
  • Check drive belt

 

Er 16

Door NTC or thermistor open circuit and the tumble dryer will halt
  • The front door thermistor is defective or the control is not in contact with it
  • Check wiring
  • Replace the thermistor

 

Er 17

Comperssor NTC or thermistor open circuit and the tumble dryer will halt, program aborted
  • The compressor thermistor is defective or the control is not in contact with it
  • Check wiring
  • Replace the thermistor

 

Er 18

Door NTC or thermistor short circuit and the tumble dryer will halt
  • The front door thermistor is defective or the control is not in contact with it
  • Check wiring
  • Replace the thermistor

 

Er 19

Comperssor NTC or thermistor short circuit and the tumble dryer will halt, program aborted
  • The compressor thermistor is defective or the control is not in contact with it
  • Check wiring
  • Replace the thermistor

 

Er 20

Rotary control turned while the dryer is in operation
  • Restart program
