Coloured (especially dark) heavy cotton garments (like denim) have white streaks on them after washing. Even when using a color or liquid detergent.
This problem is not a fault with your washing machine and cannot be resolved by a repair or service.

Cause & Prevention
Heavy cotton can crease in the wash. The creased edge is more prone to colour wear due to rubbing. Can also be caused by overloading.
Wash heavy cotton garments inside out.
Select a gentle agitation wash for heavy cottons eg, woollen wash.
